Bowling during Hiatus

So, it turns out I am pretty good at bowling, last week went to" Interstate Lanes"with Katie and some friends since I am off from Grimm during our filming Hiatus of season 2 here in Portland. 2 rounds of bowling with a number of strikes and comments such as "nice form", maybe I will actually practice during my break.

"The Ropes"

I am in LA working as Camera Operator on  TV show called "The Ropes"  it will show on FOX.  The show is about the bouncers at a club in NYC and their shenanigans. They connive, fuck, and fight.  This is the interior of the club we shot at the other night. It is in down town LA and is AMAZING!  The crew is fantastic as are the actors.

I spent 2 months in Kingston Jamaica, working on a film called "Ghetta Life". This is the pool I swam in every day after work and on weekends. Eventually they put enough chemicals in it to turn it blue again but it took awhile.

I haven't been anywhere?

Well thats not true, Katie and I did go camping at the cool beach whilst Portland was in a heat wave.

Thank goodness for that, ive been spending my time here where i live in portland or. I worked on the film Coraline for the last year and now am unemployed looking for work like many other people all over the world.

I was the guy who put up the lights and c-stands and flags and bounces and hauled the sand bags, put down the hot glue and moved things around for this shot and many others . It is a terrific film, looks good in 3-d and i hope you get to see it.

I shoot all the beauty shots, landscapes, nights capes, insects, trees, still life's, moods. What a lovely place it is their in Big Sur and SF!

a new post

Ok, so it has been quite awhile since i have written or posted any photos here but since I have a moment, as i am sitting in the way cool PDX airport that has the nicest wi-fi everywhere for free, and am feeling rather good having just gotten hired for job that lasts till Oct. i thought id share a cool feature that i use while traveling. I have a very short, short term memory, way short, some times only seconds so I use my phone to take pictures of things i need remeber, like where i parked in the parking structure, or what my bag looks like that I checked in. And the 3rd photo is of where I have been work the last couple of weeks, but that is another post.

Went to see this show last night Some cats from Japan .
Very inspiring and the first performance was a young man who did throat signing and had a mic hooked up to his chest so he could use his heart beat in the sounds he created, at one point he stopped his heart for what seemed way -to- long. He was a musical yogi or ninja, christ. Tall lanky, long black hair

weekend on lopez

Bjorn, Kirsten and I flew up from Portland OR. to Lopez this friday, in thier plane "SUPER BOY" they dropped me off and went on to see Kirsten's extended family in Bellingham while I got spend the weekend with my boys. This is Eski casting off on a journey, we found this nice raft down at flat point.

The flight back last night was amazing as it was total IMC the whole way and since Bjorn has this nifty cool GPS unit the navigatio0n becomes awhole lot easier and abit more like a video game. hmmmm? Except that we actually were up there at 7000 ft in the cold air going 120 knts.

Laundry day

So i was walking to do my laundry and found out some one had lost there heart in the hood. Hope they find it. It wasnt in the washing machine or the dryer.
