Words are to follow soon

Kaj and Laurie and Tails all went walking down at the beach the other day. It was misty and nice. Cold but still nice. The house painting is slowly progressing as I find time to do it. I started up top and work my way down and save the bits that are under overhangs for when it rains. Which it is already doing.

A drive North

I drove North on the I-5 LA to Lopez Island. Here is the trip in a few minutes of stills. I leave LA in the evening, trying to decide what music to put to the movie, this piece by Anushka Shankar inspires me because I start thinking about thinking, which driving is so good for. I think about the past, future, and present. The parts of my life I like and parts I want to change. I am the self critic and the opposite as well. I stop often in places off the road and make a cup of tea, walk around and enjoy being alone. I drive on, sleep in the car one night for awhile at a rest stop, pick up a hitch hiker, see the Shasta dam, make tea. Camp at rouge river, nice place for almost nothing. Get my email in Cottage grove OR. Talk on the mobile phone, send text messages. Stop in Portland to look for Eski's BDay present. Visit Bjorn and Kirsten. Drive on to Redmond to see hong Mei. Wake up to rain again and stop in Seattle to get fish and a sleeping bag, going north with all the rest of the crowd getting out of the city for Friday weekend in Oct. I miss the ferry and have to wait till 5 pm to get on and then off again on Lopez.

I feel like all the photos are of me recently, I certainly have an ego but the real reason is that I had lost the cable that downloads my camera on to the computer. Well now it is found and again I can post photos worth a few words. This one is of me and Marie in the meat packing plant in downtown LA where we shot for a week. No sun, no air, dirty, ghosts, gross but still I found it interesting in my own twisted way. I am sitting on the wheel chair dolly waiting for the camera to be put on my shoulder. Another long shot in a dark hallway.
