The pond is frozen and deceptivly looking shallow in the morning sun. We all got up late this morning because the electric company shut off the power last night to do some pole replacements while we slept, thus since our lives revolve around electric power we were unable to charge our batterys till later.

hmmmm, yes these days you really cant do much without power...With my camera I always seem to not have charged the battery when its critical that I have my camera on...Tried lighting a fire behind it so the light shows through...but unfortunatley that doesnt work so well. Having lots and lots of batteries works though.
